20 million Moslems in Russia

Minister of nationalism in the Russian Federation, Ramadan Abd El-Teibof stated that the number of Moslems in Russia is more than 20 million citizens, forming nearly 45% of the Russian Federation's total inhabitants and that Islam and Christianity in Russia have achieved a large degree of approach and peaceful coexistence.
In opening the Arab-Russian discussion which started today in Cairo, Abd El-Teibof said Russia has more than 400 industrial, land reclamation and agricultural production projects and that more than 1/3 of the foreign trade of the Soviet Union with the third world's countries was with the Arab states.
He added that the volume of the loans presented to the Arab states forms 47% of its volume for the developing world.
