Syrian-Kuwaiti memorandum of understanding signed

Syria and Kuwait on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding on amending the bilateral agreement that provides for organizing air traffic between the two countries.
The director general of the Syrian aviation department, Hussein Mahfoud, and the head of the Kuwaiti general administration on civil aviation, Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Abdullah, signed the agreement.
The memo of understanding includes two proposals for Kuwait to clarify the work framework between the two states and for removing all obstacles which hinder the progress of work.
The memorandum said Syria will study the two Kuwaiti proposals and give an answer by March 2000, the date when the next meeting between the two sides will be held.
