Saudi crown prince confers with Chinese president

Chinese President Jiang Zemin and Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz held two round of talks on Tuesday in Riyadh, attended by members of the delegation accompanying the Chinese president and several Saudi princes, ministers and consultants.
During the two rounds of talks, bilateral relations between the two sides and means of developing them were reviewed for the service of common interests. They reviewed main international events, foremost being the Middle East question and the occupied Arab territories.
Meanwhile, Chinese President Jiang Zemin called on Saudi businessmen to invest their sums in China in order to strengthen trade relations between the two countries.
In a statement to Saudi reporters in Riyadh on Tuesday, President Zemin said, "We welcome the Saudi businessmen visiting Beijing in order to establish investment projects." He indicated that Saudi Arabia is China's greatest trade partner within the countries of East Asia and North Africa.
The Chinese president arrived in Saudi Arabia on Sunday which is his last station on the tour, which covered Algeria, Britain, France, Portugal and Morocco.
