Gaddafi confers with Gabonese counterpart

Libyan leader Col. Moammar Gaddafi held a meeting on Monday evening with the president of the Republic of Gabon, Omar Bongo, during which they discussed key African issues.
The two presidents reviewed the executive mechanism for the Syrte declaration which was released by the African leaders at the conclusion of the Syrte summit held in September, during which the African Union was declared.
On the sideline of the meeting held by the two presidents, Libyan Foreign Minister Omar al-Muntasir discussed with his Gabonese counterpart, Jean Ping, cooperation relations between Libya and Gabon and means of boosting them in all areas.
