Ghali and Cook open conference on investment opportunities in Egypt

Egyptian Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Yousef Butros Ghali and UK Foreign Secretary Robin Cook are to open a conference on the investment opportunities in Egypt, which will be held in London on Monday.

The UK Trade Ministry organizes the conference in cooperation with the Egyptian - UK association for businessmen and many UK business organizations.

Mohammed Farid Khamis, the head of the UK - Egyptian association for businessmen, said that focusing on transfer of advanced technology to Egypt will be tackled during the conference, especially in data related technology as well as discussing joint investment in specific fields: small and medium-sized industries, health care, tourism, environment, fabrics and textiles, the automobile industry and engineering consultations.
