Moussa discussed Mauritania's decision to establish full relations with Israel in Libya
Libya-Egypt, Politics, 11/2/1999
Libyan official sources stated yesterday the contents of the message conveyed by Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa to Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi included discussing taking a joint stance toward the Mauritanian decision to establish complete diplomatic relations with Israel without consulting the Mauritanian people and without considering the Arab interests that will be harmed by this decision, adding that Gaddafi received similar messages from the Moroccan, Sudanese, Tunisian and Algerian foreign ministers. The Libyan sources depicted the Mauritanian stance as a blow to the Arab Maghreb Union member states, which include Mauritania.
