Moroccan senate approves 3 international accords

The Moroccan Senate, meeting Monday under the chairmanship of Speaker Mohamed Jalal Essaid, approved three international accords with India, Tunisia and Portugal.
The house unanimously adopted the agreement signed in Rabat in 1997 by the kingdom and Portugal to avoid double taxation.
A similar agreement passed with India in 1998 to avoid double taxation and dodging of taxation on income was also adopted the same day.
The Senate also probed draft bill on approbation of a free-trade zone signed by the kingdom and Tunisia and adjoined protocol on norms of origin and custom cooperation signed in 1999 in Rabat. The document was also adopted at the end of the session.
