Saudi Arabia welcomes Chinese president

Chinese President Jiang Zemin started his four-day visit to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Saudi Arabia's King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz, which is considered his first visit to Saudi Arabia.
The Chinese president arrived in Riyadh yesterday evening with his escorting delegation. They were received by King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz, Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz and high-ranking Saudi officials.
In statements on his arrival, Zemin hailed the relations between his country and Saudi Arabia, saying that his talks in Saudi Arabia will tackle relations between the two countries and regional and international causes of joint concern.
