UK appoints ambassador in Sudan

The Sudanese government received a message from the UK government in which it confirmed the appointment of Richard Makepeace, currently the UK charge d'affairs in Khartoum, as ambassador to Sudan.
The ambassador assumed his office officially last Wednesday.
Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Othman Ismael said the UK ambassador will present his papers to Sudanese President Omar El-Bashir tomorrow and that a Sudanese ambassador will be appointed in London soon.
He added that the two countries and their leaders are willing to normalize relations to return them to normal.
