Kuwaiti emir, officials confer with Lebanese clergy

Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah received the chairman of the higher Shiite council in Lebanon, Sheikh Muhammad Mahdi Shamseddine, on Sunday in Kuwait.
Talks during the meeting, which was attended by Kuwaiti Information Minister Saad Bin Teflah and the secretary general of the national council for culture and the arts, Muhammad al-Rumeihi, dealt with bilateral relations and issues of mutual concern.
Earlier in the day, Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Saad al-Abdullah al-Sabah met with Sheikh Shamseddine.
Bilateral relations and matters of concern to the two sides were discussed during the meeting.
