Barak suspends approval of Hawatemah's entry to Palestinian lands
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 10/30/1999
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak suspended his approval on the return of Nayef Hawatemah, the secretary general of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, to the Palestinian self-rule territories.
The spokeswomen of the Israeli prime minister, Mirav Paris Tazadok, said Barak decided to suspend the permission granted to Hawatemah according to security proposals for the declarations Hawatemah made and the conditions upon which he insisted upon in order to come back home.
Barak said last Sunday that Israel does not oppose Hawatemah's return to Palestinian territories.
Meanwhile, Palestinian sources said Hawatemah confirmed the right to struggle in all the occupied Palestinian lands.
