President Zemin of China lauds Morocco's efforts for South-South cooperation
Morocco-China, Politics, 10/29/1999
President Jiang Zemin of China on Thursday lauded Morocco's efforts for the consolidation of South-South cooperation.
"Morocco has made unremitting efforts for increased South-South cooperation and for the establishment of a just and rational new international economic order," President Zemin said at an exchange of toasts during a dinner banquet hosted in his honor by King Mohammed VI.
Morocco has hosted in the few past weeks a meeting of the Group of 77 plus China that called for a greater say of developing nations in the new world economic order.
Zemin recalled that China "has always stood for the establishment of a new international political and economic order on the basis of the five principles of peaceful coexistence and other universally recognized norms governing international relations."
The Chinese head of state likewise praised Morocco's "positive contribution" to the equitable settlement of the Middle-East issue and maintenance of world and regional peace and stability.
