Hawatemah denies any political bargaining for his return to Palestine
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 10/29/1999
Nayef Hawatemah, the head of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, stated that the decision of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak to allow him to return to the self-rule area came as a correction of the former Israeli government's mistaken decision.
He added, "Every Palestinian has the right to return back home according to international law."
In a statement to Israel Radio yesterday, Hawatemah said he will never pay any political price for his return to the self-rule areas.
Moreover, he said he has not yet specified the date of his return, especially as there are conditions established by the DFLP for his return and the return of the front's members to the self-rule areas.
