Sudanese official in Rabat to get informed on Morocco's political experience

Mohamed Ahmed Salem, the official in charge of political organizations in Sudan, is currently visiting Morocco to get informed about Morocco's political and democratic experience.
Ahmed Salem said at a meeting in Rabat Wednesday with the speaker of the chamber of advisors (upper house), Jalal Essaid, that Sudan has opted for the Moroccan multiparty system model which proved successful at the political and democratic levels and enabled the country to score gains.
Sudan will learn from Morocco's measures and laws extending financial allowances to political parties to enable them play their constitutional role.
The Moroccan experience, he said, will be a model for Sudan in order to "rationalize the multiparty system and spare the country the disadvantages of the previous phase."
Jalal Essaid, who underlined the role of political parties in promoting relations between countries, said he was confident that the overture policy Sudan has embarked on will give momentum to the democratic process in the country.
