Moussa meets with Johnston

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa met with Harry Johnston, the US special envoy to Sudan who is currently visiting Cairo in a tour including Ethiopia and Eritrea.
After the meeting, Johnston said the meeting was very useful adding during the discussion that took place that the US government appreciates Egypt's historical role and importance for Sudan.
It was agreed to continue the discussion between Egypt and the USA regarding means of reaching a permanent peaceful settlement in Sudan that is concerned with the right to self-determination for the south, national causes like democracy, and religion's role in the country, as the points of view of the concerned parties must be taken into consideration including the IGAD initiative.
