Yemen forms special courts for kidnappings

The Yemeni government has decided to set up special courts to consider kidnapps and other crimes resulting from acts of bombardment. News reports from Yemen said this decision was taken following a meeting chaired by President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Tuesday. The news reports added that the new courts will be in the capital, Sanaa. Earlier, such cases used to be submitted to ordinary courts in the areas where the kidnappings take place.
