Aideed concludes his visit to Addis Ababa
Somalia-Ethiopia, Politics, 10/27/1999
Hussein Aideed, the head of the Somali National Alliance, concluded a five-day visit to Addis Ababa, during which he met with Ethiopian Foreign Minister Seyoum Mesfin and other officials in the ministry who are concerned with the Somali affairs.
Meanwhile, Ethiopian sources depicted the meetings as being negative and witnessing much disputes.
The Ethiopian Foreign Ministry accused Aideed of cooperation with the Eritrian government to threaten the security and stability of the country.
The sources added that Ethiopia warned Aideed against intervening in its internal affairs through allowing militant elements, especially the Islamic al-Itihad movement, to enter Ethiopia through the Somali borders.
