Three US citizens kidnapped in Yemen

Yemeni sources said today that three US citizens were kidnapped in Yemen yesterday, and there are communications between the US government and Yemen concerning getting information about the three persons.

The Yemeni sources told ArabicNews.com that the kidnappers belong to the southern tribes and that they asked for the release of some prisoners as well as for improvements by the state to the areas where they live.

The security sources added that the three persons who were working as experts in Yemen are still being held and that they are in good health, as the kidnappers informed the government that the persons have not been harmed.
