Israeli forces shoot 16 Palestinians in Bethlehem

Palestinian sources stated that Israeli forces shot rubber bullets at demonstrators in Bethlehem yesterday, due to which at least 16 Palestinian citizens were injured.

The forces used tear gas in an attempt to separate more than 100 demonstrators who were throwing stones and empty bottles from houses' roofs and city streets.

A doctor in Beit Gala hospital near Bethlehem said they were treating a man who was hit in the head and the chest and who was in serious condition, adding that there are more than 15 others whose injuries are moderate.

The city is witnessing disturbances for the second day in a row, due to the killing of a Palestinian citizen by an Israeli soldier on Monday, as Palestinian witnesses said that there was no reason for the shooting.
