Iraqi - Egyptian committee discusses in Baghdad economic cooperation

Egyptian Minister of Public Enterprise Mokhtar Khatab is due to arrive in Baghdad on Saturday, heading a delegation on a three-day visit to Iraq during which he will head the Egyptian side in meetings of the Iraqi - Egyptian joint commercial committee in which the Iraqi side will be headed by Iraqi Trade Minister Mohammed Mahdi Saleh.

The manager of the Egyptian trade center in Baghdad, Awni Hashim, stated that the two sides will discuss developing economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries during the committee's meetings.

They are also to discuss increasing Egypt's trade share in addition to the problems resulting from increasing the cost of the maritime and land transportation to Iraq.
