Jordan confirms its concern to develop its relations with China
Jordan-China, Politics, 10/27/1999

Jordan's King Abdullah II confirmed the Jordanian concern with developing ties of cooperation and friendship with China out of the strong historical ties that gathered them in different fields.

During his reception yesterday of Chinese Minister of Defense Chi Haotian who is visiting Jordan now, King Abdullah expressed his eagerness to meet with Chinese President Jiang Zemin at the end of current year, which he depicted as an important framework for increasing and reinforcing the relations between the two countries.

The Chinese official presented a report to King Abdullah about the results of his latest visit to the region's countries, and he conveyed to the king the Chinese appreciation for Jordan's role in serving world peace and giving success to the Middle East peace process.
