Petrochemical projects expanded in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz on Tuesday inaugurated two projects to expand petrochemical factories in Yanbu city, west of Riyadh. Saudi Minister of Industry Hashed Bin Abdullah Yamani said the first project, whose costs are estimated at US $2.8 billion, is aimed at increasing ethylene production threefold. He continued that the second project, whose costs are estimated at US $101 million, will increase 1,200 tones of oxygen per year in the daily production of the petrochemical giant, SABEC.
