The Jordanian paper al-Sabeel reported, quoting well-informed sources, that the chairman of the Israeli Likud Party, Ariel Sharon, held several meetings with Jordanian officials during a secret visit to Amman during the past two weeks, during which developments concerning the Hamas crisis in Jordan, bilateral relations, water resources and confederation were reviewed.

The paper also reported that according to the sources ,the chairman of the Israeli Mossad, Gen. Efreim Hleifi, also visited Amman in the mission pertaining to the current crisis between Jordan and Hamas.

The paper added that Hleifi presented several documents and security reports collected by the Israeli Mossad during the past years about the leadership of the Hamas movement inside and outside the occupied territories, and the paper described these reports as dangerous.
