Israel continues attacks against south Lebanon

A Lebanese teenager, Ali Muhammad Abdul Hassan, was arrested by Israeli occupation forces which stormed into Eita al-Jabal town and took him to Khiam prison.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Israeli forces intensified their bombardment against the central sector of south Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources said that the Israeli artillery positioned at al-Zaffata and the towns of al-Sawannah and Mifdoun and al-Hamra farm and Yahmour plain fired 155 mm rockets against the central sector. The Lebanese sources estimated that about 40 rockets fell on this area in half an hour.

Meanwhile, the Israeli warplanes raided the area extending from West Arab Saleem in the eastern sector of south Lebanon to the northern occupied borders.

In retaliation, the Lebanese resistance carried out operations attacking Israeli positions at Sweida and al-Tahra inside the Israeli-occupied border strip in south Lebanon.

In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said the attacks were successful and directly hit the two positions.

The statement added that the Lebanese resistance forces also attacked Israeli positions at al-Hardoun hill, using rockets.

Further reports from south Lebanon said the Lebanese resistance forces attacked an Israeli position in Beaufort for the second time. In a statement the resistance said its forces attacked human and military vehicle movements brought in by the Israeli forces to the scene of the first attack and that further casualties were inflicted.

Earlier in the day the Lebanese resistance announced that they managed to break through Israeli occupation barricades and security measures in occupied Beaufort in south Lebanon and planted an explosive charge. The explosion resulted in wounding a number of soldiers near the Israeli position while they were patrolling. The resistance forces said accurate and precise hits were inflicted on the Israeli soldiers.

An hour after the incident, the resistance attacked the same Israeli position in Beaufort, using machine guns and rockets. Direct hits were inflicted.

Moreover, A four-year old Lebanese girl was killed and four other children were wounded on Tuesday when an old Israeli cluster bomb exploded close to Zahleh at al-Bekaa. The Lebanese girl, Wardeh Muhammad Mousa, was killed instantly.
