Bashar al-Assad arrives in Muscat

Bashar al-Assad, son of Syrian President Hafez al-Assad, arrived in Muscat on Tuesday evening in a visit to Oman where he was welcomed by the secretary general of the higher committee of conferences As'aad Bin Tareq al-Saeed, Sultan Qaboos' special advisor Mubarak Bin Saleh al-Khadouri, Minister of Information Abdul Aziz al-Rawass, Oman's ambassador in Damascus and other officials concerned.
