Australian assistant foreign minister to arrive in Cairo on Saturday

David Rich, Australia's first assistant foreign minister, will arrive in Cairo on October 30 for a two-day visit to Egypt. during which he will be received by Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa.
The Australian official will hold talks with ambassador Nagi El-Getriki, the Egyptian assistant foreign minister for Asian affairs.
El-Getriki said Rich's discussions will focus on discussing the future role of Egypt in the Indian Ocean economic assembly, as Australia is one of the founding countries for this assembly. Egypt hass obtained the role of a discussion partner in this assembly.
El-Getriki added that the discussions will also tackle means of pushing forward the bilateral relations between Egypt and Australia in different fields, especially commercial ties, and increasing the commercial exchange between the two countries.
