157 films from 42 countries participate in Cairo international cinema festival

Egyptian actor Hussein Fahmi, head of Cairo cinema festival, stated that 42 countries sent 157 films to participate in activities of the 23rd session of the festival, which will be held from November 24 through December 7.
Fahmi said France will participate with 23 films, the US with 19, Spain with 12 and Germany with 9 and that it the first time since the establishment of the festival that the number of films from European countries exceeds that of Hollywood's films.
The arbitration committee will he headed by the French Eve Biose, while Tunisian director Farid Bou Ghadeer will participate as well as director Inas El-Deghedi from Egypt and script writer Mahmud Abu Zied (Egypt).
This session will focus on comedy stars from all over the world.
