Cook meets with Arafat and Husseini

UK Foreign Secretary Robin Cook met yesterday with Palestinian President Yasser Arafat to discuss the latest developments in the peace process between the Palestinian and the Israelis.
He also met with Faisal El-Husseini, the official dealing with the Jerusalem file in the Palestinian government.
Cook informed the Israeli government that he came in his second visit as foreign minister not as a peace envoy and that his talks focused on the latest progress in the Middle East peace process, saying that the UK wants to exert efforts to help the peace progress in the area.
