Saudi Arabia, Vietnam to establish diplomatic relations

It was announced in Hanoi on October 22 that Vietnam and Saudi Arabia have established diplomatic relations. News reports in the Vietnamese capital quoted an official at the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry as saying that the protocols for establishing diplomatic relations between the two sides were signed at the UN in New York this week.
The Vietnamese official did not clarify when ambassadors will be exchanged between the two sides, SANA reported.
