Lebanese resistance escalates operations

Israeli warplanes on Sunday bombarded the al-Tuffah district heights and hills adjoining the occupied part of south Lebanon.
Lebanese security sources said the Israeli planes bombarded Sheir al-Hammam area between Jarjou and Ein Buswar towns. Israeli warplanes fired air-to-surface missiles.
Lebanese army and resistance air defenses targeted the Israeli warplanes, which launched thermal balloons.
On Sunday morning, the Lebanese resistance attacked an Israeli occupation position inside the occupied part of south Lebanon. Lebanese resistance sources said a resistance group attacked Kafer Houneh position, and direct hits were achieved.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese resistance on Sunday attacked a joint Israel - SLA militia position in Sujoud in the occupied part of south Lebanon. In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said a group attacked the position and direct hits were achieved.
On Sunday, the Israeli occupation forces shelled several towns and villages adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said the Israeli artillery positioned in al-Zaffata shelled the woods of Sujoud - al-Rayhan, the Litani river course, Rallat Mleita, Luwizeh and Aqmata farm in al-Tuffah district.
The Israeli shelling expanded soon to cover the towns of Barachit, Hadatha and Tabnin in the western Bekaa, and that the bombardment was intensified on al-Zaatar mount, the sources added.
Lebanese security sources estimated the firing of over 75 shells on those areas. The attacks were coupled with heavy machine gun fire targeting the routes leading to the western and central sectors. The Israeli occupation forces combed the surroundings of their two positions in al-Biyadah and al-Radar, the coast facing the two positions and farms in the towns of Siyad and al-Mansouri in Tyre.
