Qatar, Romania for boosting bilateral relations

Qatar and Romania have underlined the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two countries on all levels and various sectors. This was expressed in a joint statement released on Sunday in Doha at the conclusion of a meeting held by Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani with Romanian President Emil Constantinescu, currently visiting Qatar.
The Gulf News Agency quoted the statements as saying that talks held by the Romanian president with Sheikh Hamad dealt with various regional and international issues of mutual concern, bilateral relations and means of developing them in various areas, especially in economic and trade fields and in oil and gas explorations.
The statement added that the two sides signed an agreement on avoiding double taxation.
