The Jordanian daily al-Rai said on Sunday that Jordan's King Abdullah II will not take part in the Oslo summit which will include US President Bill Clinton, Palestinian Presidnet Yasser Arafat and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak on November 2, where a ceremony will be held on the anniversary of the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.

The paper reported that King Abdullah will be during this period preoccupied by opening the next session of the Jordanian National Council and that he will make an address to the Jordanian people on this occasion.

The paper continued that Jordanian Foreign Minister Abdul Illah al-Khatib will represent Jordan at this ceremony, which will also be attended by the foreign ministers of Russia, the European Union and Oslo sides concerned.
