Musharraf to visit Saudi Arabia

The Pakistani Foreign Ministry announced on Sunday that Gen. Pervaiz Musharraf will visit Saudi Arabia today in the framework of a tour which will also include the United Arab Emirates.
News reports quoted the Pakistani Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement, that Musharraf will hold talks with King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia during his two-day visit to the kingdom, then he will head for the UAE on a one-day visit during which he will meet with UAE President Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan al-Nahyan.
The statement said this visit, the first Musharraf has made since he took power following a peaceful coup on October 12, stresses the great importance Pakistan pins on its friendly ties with the two Arab states.
