Cairo conference to discuss Palestinian currency

The head of the Palestinian government monetary authority, Fuad Bseiso, said an economic conference for the Arab states will be held in the middle of next month in Cairo to discuss the requirements and conditions of issuing the Palestinian currency. Bseiso denied reports about issuing the Palestinian currency, saying they are inaccurate. He added that the Palestinian monetary authority is conducting extensive studies and is looking at the experiences of other countries that have achieved independence recently, in addition to getting to know the nature of currency systems in the world.
