Celebrating 20th anniversary of establishment of US center in Alexandria

Mohammed Abd El-Slam El-Mahgoub, the governor of Alexandria, Egypt, and Daniel Kurtzer, the US ambassador in Cairo, witnessed yesterday evening a reception held by the US center in Alexandria on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the center's establishment.
Kurtzer delivered an address during the celebration in which he hailed the strong and distinguished relations that link the US and Egyptian people, expressing his hope iof developing these relations in different fields.
He emphasized the special position of Alexandria city in the hearts of Americans, saying that the U.S center's building remaining despite the removal of the consulate is considered a symbol of the distinguished relations and an estimation of Alexandria, the civilized ancient city.
