Saudi Defense Minister Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz has asserted that the family of a Saudi man accused in the Khobar explosion, Hani al-Sayegh, had visited him and that he enjoys good health.
The Saudi minister added that he permitted al-Sayegh's family ( his father, mother and wife) from visiting and meeting with him.
Minister Sultan, who was taking following a luncheon banquet in honor of his US counterpart William Cohen on Tuesday added that al-Sayegh's trial will be made according to the " doctrines of the Islamic Shareia. We are all subjugated to the Sharia of the Almighty God."
Earlier al-Sayegh family said that they were prevented from seeing him and that the Saudi authorities prevented his visit since his arrival in Saudi Arabia on October 11 after he was evacuated from the US, according to statements made by a relative to al-Sayegh and asked not to be identified.
He continued " they ( the Saudi authorities) know that al-Sayegh is under strong security measures, (yet) he was not permitted to talks on the telephone with his family."
