Philipinian parliamentary delegation visits Riyadh

A high-ranking Philippine parliamentary delegation headed by Manuel Villar, the head of the Philippine deputies' council arrived in Riyadh yesterday in their first visit to Saudi Arabia.
A diplomatic source in the Philippine embassy in Riyadh told ArabicNews.com that the delegation includes 14 Moslem members in the Philippine parliament, adding that the visit came to fulfill the invitation of head of the Saudi Shoura council, Sheikh Mohammed Ibrahim Bin Jubair.
The sources added that the head of the Philippine parliament will receive during his current two-day visit to Saudi Arabia high ranking Saudi officials to discuss bilateral issues between the two countries in addition to regional and international topics of joint concern.
