Hijacked airplane returns to Cairo

An airplane that was hijacked yesterday returned to Cairo airport with 48 passengers on board and its crew with no harm resulting from the hijacking by a young Turkish man carrying a knife who forced the jet upon leaving Istanbul to head to Hamburg, Germany.
The passengers were greatly received in Cairo airport.
The head of Egypt airline company, Mohammed Fahim Riyan, said the airplane was secured during its return.
Egyptian Minister of Transportation Ibrahim El-Domaini said the airplane's hijacker is a Turkish citizen who wanted the right of asylum, saying that his surrender took place through discussion with and persuasion from the captain, who persuaded him to surrender and where the German security authorities arrested him.
