Palestinian - Israeli negotiations next week to release a third group of captives
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 10/20/1999

Hisham Abed Alrazek, the Palestinian minister of state for the captives' affairs, said the joint Israeli - Palestinian committee on the captives' affairs will meet next week to discuss releasing a third group of prisoners in the occupation prisons before the coming month of Ramadan according to the Sharm El-Sheikh agreement's executive note.

In a statement today he said he will discuss during the committee's meetings a number of this group's members and measures that will be applied to release them.

The Sharm El-Sheikh note called for releasing 350 captives in two groups. The first one, released on September 8, included 199 captives, while the second one was released on October 15 and included 151 captives.

The agreement also called for a release of a third group before Ramdan to be agreed upon between the two parties.
