A conference for the Arab stock markets in Sharm El-Sheikh

The coming annual conference of the Arab stock markets' union is scheduled to be held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt during November, said Soleim El-Monzeri, secretary general of the Arab stock markets' union.

In a statement yesterday he said it decided that the conference, whose date will be determined later, will be headed by Saad El-Rakeebi, the head of the union, and address the situation of the Arab markets on different levels, their developments and the challenges confronting them during the coming period, in addition to presenting solutions to its problems.

He added that the three-day conference will be preceded by a workshop in which a lot of the Arab experts on financial markets and heads of Arab stock markets will participate to raise projects for developing the Arab stock markets and evaluating what is currently taking place in them.

It will also discuss invigorating the merger operations among the Arab stock markets as well as raising the idea of establishing an Arab clearance company, referring to the success of the cooperation experiment between the Egyptian, Kuwaiti and Jordanian stock markets.
