Morocco partly privatizes fertilizer, livestock firms

Morocco announced the ceding of half of the capital of fertilizers and livestock breeding firms to private operators.
Some 51% of the capital of Fertima and 50% of that of Ranch Adarouch were ceded to private entrepreneurs, Moroccan Public Sector and Privatization Minister Rachid Filali said on Tuesday.
The move earned the State treasury $26.6 million, the minister said.
The 51% of the Fertima capital was sold to a group made up of Portuguese and Moroccan operators.
