Morocco partly privatizes fertilizer, livestock firms
Morocco, Business, 10/20/1999

Morocco announced the ceding of half of the capital of fertilizers and livestock breeding firms to private operators.

Some 51% of the capital of Fertima and 50% of that of Ranch Adarouch were ceded to private entrepreneurs, Moroccan Public Sector and Privatization Minister Rachid Filali said on Tuesday.

The move earned the State treasury $26.6 million, the minister said.

The 51% of the Fertima capital was sold to a group made up of Portuguese and Moroccan operators.
