King Mohammed invited to summit on Israeli-Palestinian peace accords
Morocco-International, Politics, 10/20/1999
King Mohammed VI has been invited to attend a summit in Oslo next November to commemorate the Israeli-Palestinian peace accords of 1993.
The limited summit will be attended by US President Bill Clinton, Russia's Boris Yeltsin, King Abdullah of Jordan, and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, reported the Saudi daily Acharq Al-Awsat.
King Mohammed VI has not yet confirmed his participation in the summit, the daily said, adding that Israeli sources had predicted a meeting on the sidelines of the summit between the Moroccan sovereign and Israeli Premier Ehud Barak.
King Mohammed VI had met last July in Rabat with Barak, who attended the funeral of the late King Hassan II.
