Jordan-Israel, Politics, 10/20/1999
An official source at the general command of the Jordanian armed forces said that Jordan had not asked to buy Israeli light or heavy weapons or any military equipment from Israel. The Jordanian source told the London-based al-Sharq al-Awsat daily issued on Tuesday that news published by the Israeli daily Haartez on Monday on this matter was groundless.
The Jordanian source stated that the Jordanian armed forces are completely free from any Israeli military weapons or equipment.
