Libyan foreign minister confers with Belgian counterpart

The secretary of the people's general committee for foreign relations in Libya (foreign minister) Omar Mustafa al-Montassir on Tuesday discussed with Belgian Foreign Minister Louis Michel during their meeting in the Libyan al-Jafra city means of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
In an arrival statement he made earlier in the day, Michel said that his country seeks to strengthen trade relations with Libya.
The European states are trying to increase their trade and economic relations with Libya since the UN had lifted the embargo from Libya in April.
