Israel continues attacks against south Lebanon

Israeli troops on Monday continued their attacks against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources said the Israeli artillery bombarded the eastern outskirts of al-Mansouri town and the eastern outskirts of Majdal Zoune town and the neighboring valley.

Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes broke the sound barrier over the Lebanese capital Beirut.

In the morning, the Israeli warplanes flew over the southern district of Beirut, and they were intercepted by the Lebanese army and resistance anti-aircraft defenses.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese resistance and army forces' air defenses intercepted an Israeli pilot-less spy plane which flew over Beirut early in the morning. The Israeli plane flew over the capital Beirut at a very low altitude.

In retaliation, a Lebanese resistance group attacked on Monday a joint Israeli - South Lebanon Army militia position in Tallet al-Hardoun in the western sector of south Lebanon. In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said direct hits were achieved.

On Sunday ay midnight, the Lebanese resistance attacked the joint Israeli- SLA militia position in Rashaf.

Lebanese resistance sources said that clashes took place with occupants of the position for more than ten minutes. The sources added the resistance men were able to strike an: "observatory tower" in the said position.

The Lebanese resistance also announced that it attacked an Israeli on-foot patrol in al-Rayhan heights and another occupation position in Beer Klaab. Direct hits were achieved, the resistance said.
