Amr Moussa receives US ambassador to Cairo

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa received Daniel Kurtzer, the US ambassador to Cairo, who said following the meeting that it came in the framework of continuous consultations between the two sides which, have been very active because of the abundance of the subjects which are drafted on the agenda between the two countries, referring to the continuation of the US officials' visits to Cairo, among which is the visit of the US secretary of defense to Egypt this week.

He added that the subjects, which are on the agenda of the US - Egyptian presidential council, scheduled to be held in Cairo next week, were discussed, in addition to the visit of US Secretary of Energy Bill Richardson to Egypt during the coming weeks.

Around the reason of not holding the session of the strategic dialogue between Egypt and the USA Kurtzer said, "There are current consultations between Egypt and the US to agree upon the date for holding the new session for the strategic dialogue; however, this date perhaps will be before Ramadan month or after it," adding that the coming session of this dialogue will be on the top official level between the two countries.

He said it will be agreed upon a date after that for convening the session for the strategic dialogue on the foreign ministers' level in the two countries at a suitable time.
