Al-Assad gets a message from King Abdullah

President Hafez al-Assad on Sunday at the Damascus al-Shaab palace received the Jordanian foreign minister Abdul Illah al-Khatib.
The Jordanian minister conveyed a message to President Hafez al-Assad from the Jordanian King Abdullah Bin al-Hussein.
Talks dealt with developments in the region, the Middle east peace process and issues of mutual concern.
The meeting was attended by the minister of state for foreign affairs Nasser Qaddour.
On Sunday afternoon, the Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa received at his home in Damascus, the Jordanian foreign minister and members of the accompanying delegation. The Jordanian minister learnt about al-Shara good health following the successful surgery he underwent in the American University of Beirut.
