GCC- US ninth session on economic dialogue

The Gulf Cooperation Council states and the US started on Sunday in Abu Dhabi works of their ninth session on economic dialogue between the GCC member states and the US.

At the beginning of the dialogue meetings, United Arab Emirates Minister of Economy Sheikh Fahem Bin Sultan al-Qasemi said the GCC member states realize the fact that the more the economic integration process increased between the two sides, the more they will be able to achieve their objectives and ambitions in building strong economics, effective and stable.

Al-Qasemi added that the GCC member states are looking for that day when all of them become members in the World Trade Organization, as a result of which their trade relations with the US would be stronger and clearer.

Al-Qaseimi expressed his hope that this " important meeting will result in a continuous and fruitful cooperation with the US.

Meantime, the UAE minister met in Abu Dhabi with US Secretary of Commerce William Daily, currently visiting the UAE in the course of his tour of several countries of the region.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed areas of cooperation between the UAE and the US for accelerating and promoting bilateral trade relations.
