Morocco to present human rights report to UN
Morocco, Politics, 10/16/1999
Morocco will present next week its periodic report on the human rights situation in the kingdom.
The report will be submitted to the 67th session of the United Nations Human Rights Committee held October 18 through November 5 in Geneva.
Besides Morocco, the committee will also examine reports of Norway, Portugal (Macao), the Republic of Korea, Cameroon and Hong Kong (China).
Morocco had presented in 1994 a similar report that was lauded in the committee's final remarks. The committee had also encouraged Morocco to go ahead with the consolidation of the country's constitutional reforms.
