Qatari heads support committee for Moroccan 2006 World Cup bid

The Arab Football Union (AFU) executive bureau appointed Qatari Mohamed Ben Houmam, a FIFA executive committee member, to the chairmanship of the Arab committee backing up Morocco's bid to host the final rounds of the soccer World Cup in 2006.
The committee includes AFU members, FIFA members, and Moroccan Minister of Youth and Sports Ahmed Moussaoui.
Prince Sultan Bin Fahd, AFU chairman, Ben Houmam and other AFU members are to start contacts with continental federations as part of a worldwide promotion campaign for the kingdom's candidacy.
